At Cedar Trails, we offer three different programs to help build a strong foundation for your child as they build skills to prepare them for Young 5 or Kindergarten.
Our learning levels offer different opportunities for both 3 and 4 years old's to begin their trail to success at Cedar Trails. Each program is tailored to fit the needs of the student and family based on age, days, times, and tuition.
Cedar Trails offers a tuition-based PreK program located in our main building for ages 3 and 4. We follow Connect4Learning Curriculum where we help children begin to acquire reading, writing, number, problem-solving, and social skills. Our educators help with the development of children creating their own activities, carry them out, and talk about what they are doing to others. Upon preschool graduation, your child will leave being independent, responsible, confident, and ready to move into Young 5 or Kindergarten.

North Kent Head Start is a small site situated along White Creek Road in Cedar Springs, located in northern Kent County. We are a traditional year site and currently have three classrooms that house the only 3-year-old, full-day programs. The building overlooks a private lake where the children can view nature uninhabited, observe many varieties of wildlife, catch insects, and more all while they are engaged in outside play.

Located at Cedar Trails, the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a state-funded free preschool program for qualifying four-year-old children. We prepare children for kindergarten! Our teachers utilize a research-based curriculum that aligns with Michigan's Early Childhood Standards for Quality for Prekindergarten (ECSQ-PK). Our classrooms have consistent daily routines that include group activities as well as daily free-choice time and outdoor play.
